Saturday Lunch

For breakfast I had a bowl of almonds and some bird’s nest soup. I also ate 2 pieces of pomelo.

For lunch, mums and I decided to da pao home some famous beef noodles from Toa Payoh. I also bought some extra vegetables- beansprouts and green cabbage.

So stuffed. Had a whole bowl for each of us.

Then for dessert, 2 seeds of durian, hubs ate the rest.

To drink, I had 2 glasses of water.

Tuesday Breakfast and Lunch

Not very good today.

Breakfast was in the office due to early meeting. Some sandwiches which I took a bite of and immediately put down and rejected the rest.

Lunch was just as disappointing. Downstairs at the restaurant ordered bee hoon cantonese style but it was horrible. I was hungry, ate half and left the rest.

So hungry, will definitely eat heaps tonight.

Sunday Dinner

Waiting for my Tiger airways flight.

No more chinese noodles (sold out), only left with bao’s which I definitely do not want.

Other choices? CBTL cakes, Obrien’s sandwiches. So I went for the soup of the day.

Minestrone, with a thin slice of toast. Not much taste, and not very hot. But I finished it anyway to fill my stomach.

Now to the gate.

Saturday Lunch, Tea and Dinner

I skipped breakfast as I had to rush out for a meeting. Ended up chatting way through until about 1.40pm before I realized I was late for a baby full moon party. At the party, it was quite a nice spread of stuff which friends had catered from the american club and I was very hungry. What I had:

1) 1 Vietnamese spring roll (vegetarian, non-fried)

2) 2 mini quiches (mushroom)

3) 3 skewers of chicken & peppers (very lightly seasoned, I thought it tasted great)

4) 1 small slice of chocolate mousse cake (from Canele, everyone raved about this)

5) 1 slice of watermelon and 1 rock melon (fruit was so-so, a bit overripe)

6) half a glass of white wine

Saturday Tea

Croissants from the Marriott Hotel

Then I rushed back for tea because someone was visiting my mum… I bought some croissants (4 normal butter, 2 chocolate) and 2 quiche lorraines from the Marriott cafe. But our friends brought some really fancy stuff over too…

Durian Crepe and Durian Puffs from the Goodwood Singapore

I ate half a Durian puff, 1 fork of Durian Mousse Cake, 1 slice of Durian crepe, 1 croissant.

(the chocolate croissants disappeared before I could take a photo)

Saturday Dinner

Chinese food with grandpa: a soup, a fish to share, some stewed chicken and some vegetables, 3 spoons of rice and some slices of fruit.

Monday Lunch

I skipped breakfast this morning, woke up late and was rushing around for my appointment. I had a perrier during my mid morning meeting.

Then for lunch, mum rang me and asked me to pack something home. So I went to Isetan supermarket and bought:

Salmon sushi, Inari and Avocado maki

A whole roast chicken and a bag of mixed salad greens. We ate most of it (didn’t finish all of everything) and really enjoyed the meal.

Delicious quite paleo lunch

Sunday 8am Breakfast

Checked in for my Airasia flight back and maternal unit insisted on eating something. Not really a wide selection given the time, so we went to Ritazza cafe because it didn’t look so busy.

Both of us had earl grey teas, mine with a bit of milk, no sugar. We shared a cold ham and cheese sandwich (half each). My tea was hot and I couldn’t finish it in time so I asked for a cup and drank it on the way to the gate (where I had to dispose of the cup due to LAG rules).

Saturday Dinner

We went to visit our friend and he invited us to stay for dinner at 7pm. His wife brought back some banana leaf rice which she said was made by her friend, and only available for order. There was some dry curry fish with dark green vegetables and golden soft rice. The bright green sliced veges are some sort of gourd and that was made by my friend’s maid. The rice packet is not too big, fits into the palm of my hand. Something like a small nasi lemak packet I guess.

Saturday Dinner - banana leaf rice

And the additional deep fried balls which are quite popular in Indonesian cuisine. I only had one because it can’t be that healthy…

Saturday Dinner - Deep fried balls

We bought some fruit at the supermarket before going over (didn’t want to turn up empty handed). We bought 2 packets of quite nice smelling and good tasting durian. Most of it was gone before I took a picture. Even our friend’s 2 year old liked it.

Saturday dessert

Next some rock melon, just ripe, very nice. I had a few slices.

Saturday Dessert

Finally, half a cup (shared) of milk bubble tea with ice.

Dinner was done by 8pm 🙂
