At first we thought of going for Assam Laksa, then we felt it was a bit far and detoured to RAW instead. Had a tomato soup and a mushroom-pesto ciabatta toastie. Very vegetarian.
To drink, a cup of warm water. Delicious.

After the appointment, we went back to Beets again! Mum’s suggestion. This time I had an arugula-squash salad and a falafel (3 pieces). Ate almost all of it, gave a third of one to hubs. I shared mum’s earl grey sorbet this time.
The Yahava Coffee with the in-laws, had a decaf cuppacino.
At Beets again then Yahava Coffee
It was a late dinner at around 9pm by the time we got in and got ourselves organized enough to go eat. I suggested a vegetarian restaurant called Beets (wanted something light) in Dempsey and mum enthusiastically agreed.
The menu wasn’t too extensive but we went ahead with the specials. A tomato-roasted pepper soup to start, then papaya salad and a tomato risotto to share between 2 of us.
Food was pretty good, enjoyed the simplicity and the non-addition of MSG. Then dessert was a grilled pineapple fruit ensemble and an earl grey sorbet with fruit.
Dinner at Beets
AC brought me back a tomato soup and salad from RAW.
I had the soup (it was already 2.45pm) but saved the salad for dinner. Soup was yummy.
