Monday Breakfast-Lunch-Dinner

The view from our picnic spot on Ko Poda

Okay today we didn’t follow the guys for the golf. Instead we had the usual buffet breakfast (eggs, bacon, toast, juice, fruit- watermelon and honeydew- and a glass of milk).

Then we organized our own tour out to see the islands. It was a lot of fun! We ended up having lunch on Rai Lay Beach, shared a Pad Thai, Thai fishcakes and stir fried vermicelli. A coconut to drink.

For tea, we stopped by at a secluded beach on Tub Island with fine white sand and clear blue water. We shared some watermelon and pineapple which the boatmen cut beautifully for us. I had 2 slices each. Everyone else had ice-cream from the vendor along the beach but I was not feeling quite hungry enough for that.

Rambutans, oranges and some weird Thai fruit

For dinner, we were all too tired to head out and my uncle organized dinner at the resort cafe. We got the chef to make garlic bread, chicken rice, steamed sea bass and vegetables. To drink, 2 glasses of lime juice.

The garlic bread, the rambutan and the fantastic lime juice

Then we ate the rest of the fruit which included the rambutans (Thai rambutans win hands down) and some sweet mini pineapples the dads brought back from the market.
